How to configure your iPhone to connect to the Exchange Server using IMAP:

  1. On your iPhone, tap Settings and then Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then, tap Add Account... and choose Other.
  2. Enter in your name, email address, and password, then name the account.
  3. Under Incoming Mail Server settings, enter the following:
Host Name: owa018.msoutlookonline.net (or the proper server for your account)
    User Name: (your email address)
  4. Under Outgoing Mail Server:
Host Name: smtpx18.msoutlookonline.net (or the proper server for your account)
    User Name: (your email address)
    Password: (your password)

Your wireless provider may have blocked SMTP traffic through port 25 in your area. If this is the case please add :465 to your Outgoing Mail Server Host Name. For example, if your Outgoing Mail Server is smtpx18.msoutlookonline.net you will enter: smtpx18.msoutlookonline.net:465 (this will ensure that outgoing SMTP traffic will go through alternate port 465).
  5. Tap Save and wait for your IMAP account information to verify.
